I contacted The Fighting Cocks fairly last minute to accommodate a small wake for my Father’s funeral.
First of all I can’t thank you all enough.
You accommodated us with no problem. The service was outstanding and the buffet was so amazing for the price we paid that every one of our party commented.
You brought a much needed smile to our faces and a perfect ending to an otherwise sad day for which I will be forever grateful.

Really nice place where to have Lunch until late.

We order a fish and chips, a beef chilli and a special burguesía. The dishes are big and the quality good.

I looked this place up online, is quite pricey as it only had an A la Carte menu, but was meeting friends there so had no choice. On arrival I thought this pub was a bit tatty.. wasn't as nice as I had expected.
I had a burger and the bun was really dry and fell apart.. my friend left all of her bun, feel there wasn't enough choice for vegetarians.
The chair I had was ripped on the seat, the plastic flowers on all the tables looked like they should of been in a fish tank and the service wasn't great.. not very enthusiastic.
I feel this place could be improved, I wouldn't return.

Went for a light meal after walking along the river. Staff were pleasant and welcoming. Sandwich options were a bit restricted ( 3 options ), thankfully we all found one we liked. Thought £12 was a bit pricey for a sandwich with fries ( usually pubs serve them in a small ramekin) . But when they brought the food out there was plenty there, a nice big sandwich, a bowl of fries and a decent side salad.
The time of day we were there plus the weather meant that it was quiet there , however I'm sure it gets a lot of custom normally.
Would recommend to others.

Just been for a Christmas Lunch celebration in a party of 6. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Table looked lovely, food was absolutely delicious, including a gluten free turkey dinner one of our party had. Very highly recommended
