We booked a table and was really looking to a good meal as we had been before but unfortunately the service was very slow and we had to go to the bar several times to ask for drinks, water and ask for the bill.

The food was nice but small portions even for the veg and mash.

Other tables were also left looking for a waitress to order drinks etc and there was empty tables so not as if you can blame it being really busy.

Unfortunately we did not feel looked after and for something that was a birthday treat we are sad to say we would not return or recommend.

I cannot rate this pub highly enough, the food is delicious and the staff are so friendly & welcoming. Sarah went above & beyond to make my mother's birthday special. I would definitely recommend anyone wishing to have a wonderful meal as it meets all expectations.

Enjoyed a fabulous Saturday lunch in very welcoming and comfortable surroundings. We had babies and very elderly and infirm lady in our party and everyone felt happy and relaxed. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. This is a quality establishment that wears its high standards lightly. Thank you to Sarah and the team.

The food here is very good indeed and you usually have to book to secure a table. The staff are very friendly and attentive, the beer well kept and prices are reasonable. The interior decor is lacking a little character but otherwise a great place for lunch or dinner.

Visiting from NZ - Wow, what a lovely country pub! Hosts were delightful and extremely helpful. A typical local pub with excellent food, drinks and service. We stayed 2 nights for a local wedding and the rooms were so comfy with great facilities and easy access. Private car park too which was very useful. Many thanks Sarah & Paul (5*)
