Can't fault the experience at The Galleon. A colleague booked here for an evening get together and as someone that loves Steaks I was very intrigued to try it out, but cautious as well as a lot of steak restaurants don't know how to cook a steak properly (grill marks instead of a proper sear and crust). Thankfully this was no issue at The Galleon and I could fault my perfectly cooked 45oz T-Bone steak, my only disappointment was that the place was so fancy that I couldn't pick up the remains of the steak with my hands to eat the meat that was close to the bone 🤣 - but that isn't a bad thing! The thick cut chips were brilliant and seemed either double or triple cooked, nice and crunchy on the outside and nice and soft on the outside, how they should be. Starter of prawn cocktail was freshly prepped including the salad and the desert of baileys cheesecake was a nice way to finish off.

Staff were great and the interior of the place was very nice. I thought the value was very good considering the quality, yes it's not cheap but I don't mind paying a bit more as long as the quality is good. There's some steakhouses that I've been to in Manchester that charge more and are just for show with poor quality food.

I'll definitely be returning.

Went here on a Tuesday night for my birthday and what a surprise it was. Seen this place as I’ve walked passed many times but never really took any notice but what a gem. Lovely clean, classy restaurant with lovely friendly staff. Great menu choices particularly if you like steak. Me and my partner shared the chateaubriand which was served on a sizzling hot plate so you could finish off the steak to your liking. It was a really good size and melted in your mouth… just perfect. We both had starters which were great and a cocktail each with was of a decent standard. All in all a lovely find. We definitely will be going back.

It was ok. I think for a Sunday lunch it was a little bit on the pretentious side. By no means was I looking for a standard meal, but I feel it was missing something. The crème brûleé on the other hand was marvelous. Thank you, I will return to try something else.

I’m a big foodie and eat out regularly, but I honestly can’t remember the last time a meal impressed me this much. We had the two-person Sunday dinner sharing platter at The Galleon Steakhouse, and it was nothing short of exceptional.

Everything was cooked to perfection — beautifully tender meats, rich flavours, perfectly crisp roasties, and proper homemade gravy. You can tell real care goes into every dish here. The portion sizes were spot on, presentation was brilliant, and the service was friendly and professional without feeling rushed.

It’s rare to find somewhere that nails both quality and atmosphere like this. Easily one of the best Sunday roasts I’ve ever had — highly recommend The Galleon to anyone who loves good food done right

We are big steak fans and have been to lots of good places, The Galleon has got to be the best steak restaurant we have been to! Not just fantastic meat but the starters were excellent and so were the sides. The chef even managed to sort our request of alternatives to bread with the Camembert. Our waitress was really attentive but not annoying. Overall a fantastic place wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!!

Went today and had the Sunday sharer which was really nice, the meats and cauliflower cheese were amazing.

The young lad working today was really polite, pleasant and friendly and is an asset to the place. Shame the same can’t be said about 2 of the younger girls working today who were quite rude and made me feel uncomfortable with the level of staring and appeared to be talking about me between themselves.

I don’t go out very often, it’s a shame that a rare treat and a lovely meal was spoilt by the experience. I really hope the two young ladies are spoken to and asked to consider they are in a working environment, not a primary school.
