We had a fantastic dinner at the jam jar. The staff were very friendly and accommodating of our toddler and dog. We sat outside and had a mixture of starters and mains - all were very fresh and delicious. Lovely surroundings too. Definitely recommend!

Great place to stop by and get something to eat. This place is in the holiday site at the top of the serpentine. The food we ordered was delicious, the servers were polite, prompt and well presented. There is plenty of parking for customers. If you don't want to go up the Serpentine, there are other "straighter" roads to use.

Visited for birthday on 11th August, waited 35 minutes just for a drink order. Waiter said he's not ready for meal order and that his sister is coming to help(he looked stressed).
Finally got food order after another 45 minutes, so that's nearly 2 hours wait. She gave us complimentary drink but did not apologise. After the meal we asked her if they were short of staff and she said 'no, everyone just came at the same time it would be same on mainland.' Nobody anywhere would think 2 hours is acceptable.

Really disappointed as been before and it's been fine, but this time not only was the wait completely unacceptable but to get no apology and receive that unprofessional response means we won't be back.

We were staying on Roseland Holiday Park next door and was tempted by a meal at the Jam Jar. Dogs aren't allowed inside but there are tables outside that you can use, unfortunately it was raining. Not a problem though because the Jam Jar put our meals in takeaway boxes so we could eat in our motorhome. The food was hot, fresh and very tasty. Would recommend a visit, it's really good food.
