The food is amazing at The Kings Head, lots to choose from & ideal for sharing. This is a gem of a place just a few miles out of Grimsby & I highly recommend a visit

The pub has lots of beers & ciders on tap to choose from as well as many bottled beers & ciders as well as all the other regular bar drinks.

The bar staff were extremely helpful & made us feel very welcome there.

Nice beer garden and great Beast Burgers, but a very limited menu albeit done well. Staff serving drinks weren't particularly helpful; I asked if they served tea (Around 5pm) as I was eating and wanted a hot drink. I was told she would have to ask the landlady as the kitchen was busy. It wasn't very busy outside and not late in the evening, I told her it didn't matter, but as the only open eatery in the town I thought this wasn't a big ask. Not the only pub to not serve tea, but this did Marr my experience.
Didn't go inside the pub itself due to restrictions, but imagine the regulars don't even acknowledge your existence there as they seemed to not even want to look your way outside. I smiled at a few out of politeness and felt invisible.

According to the website our new local pub closes at 12am. We arrived for a nightcap at 11.30pm to be greeted by a friendly barmaid. She asked what we'd like to drink. As she was serving us the new "gaffer" basically told us to leave as "we can't just expect to walk in and expect a drink at this time, I'm the gaffer and you need to go". Absolutely disgusting....my family have lived in this village for years and the Kings Head has always been a friendly, inviting local. Not anymore due to the egotistical new "gaffer".
