A great local shop near St. Paul's Church, providing various East & Southeast type of foods, snacks, drinks. It's a gift shop too and selling CDs. Some organic choices (which I like) and vegan & vegetarian.

It’s really brilliant and inspiring to have a store like this in Bedford. Something that provides such a wide variety of somewhat niche products to our community. The owners are super kind and friendly, and always up for exploring if there’s something that is missing from their range. I can imagine shops like these are going through relatively hard times, and whilst I wouldn’t do my full weekly shop there, I always try and get the bits I can from there instead of a supermarket, for example, soy sauce, rice, vinegar, or any other Asian products. We’re lucky to have Lotus in Bedford, so I wish this shop all the best for the future.

Surprisingly large and varied selection of good quality East/South-East Asian ingredients. Always seem to have what we are looking for, and the owners are always friendly and happy to help you find anything. There are also sections focused on vegan foods, and vegan/Asian gifts/homeware (soaps, bowls etc.) and, inexplicably, second hand CDs - which makes little sense but I kind of like that it doesn't. A gem.

Fantastic shop - loved it! So many products and choices (e.g. at least 10 brands of vermicelli noodles and so many fabulous tea products - ones often not available in your average health food shop). I'll definitely be back - worth a trip to Bedford, for sure! In fact, I feel a Christmas treats shop will be in order! Such a kind and attentive manager too. And great to read on the flyer we were provided about the recycling efforts. A 5 star+ review from us!
