Went there for the first time with a friend. We were the only people there. Both had a coffee and a flapjack. Cafe is upstairs. There is also an Art Gallery upstairs. Downstairs is a shop.
The Millhouse is on the Rose Mill Estate, close to Ilminster and the A303 road/roundabout. Would recommend.

We stopped off on our way to Cornwall and so pleased we did. A lovely friendly welcome, we both had the full Monty breakfast. It was delicious and the mini tomatoes were the best I've tasted. Would definitely recommend this cafe.

Popped in for lunch with my wife and children (5 & 1). Super easy to get to, but really nicely out of the way of the main road so you get the tranquility.

Great menu with a wide selection of food and drink, children's menu, reasonably priced and delicious.

Various areas of seating, 1 area with some toys and things to do for little ones.

Top tier hosts, the lady and gentleman that served us were brilliant, and made sure the children were looked after too.

Will most definitely be back, and will take the dog next time too.

Don't be blinded by the big names you see on the roundabout...drive another minute and go here instead.

A little hideaway gem from the chain outlets.
Tucked away in a little community of friendly people, artists, hand crafters and freshly home made food.
Relaxing, tranquil, great atmosphere and wholesome food. Daily specials, we had pumpkin soup, dirty hashbrown with bacon and melted cheese, asparagus wrapped prosciutto with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Oh and the customers tea and flat-white coffee.
And when your waiting for your food, you can browse around at various artists painting and a very friendly working artist gallery.

We asked what a French omelette was and were told it was the same as an English omelette. It appears the difference is that the 'French' one here is not fluffy and still has patches of egg white running through it.
I ordered a Croque monsieur and recieved a cut loaf sandwich, with one type of unmelted cheese and some ham in it, and lightly toasted on the outside. I said to the lady that it normally has white sauce and melted cheese (2 types normally) and she said ours has mayo. I asked for the cheese to be grilled a bit so it was melted, it came back still unmelted apart from 1 edge. I think £9.50 is expensive for a badly toasted sandwich, it cannot be called a croque monsieur as it is not. Furthermore, I cannot understand the point of all this French terminology when it is clearly very basic English cooking.

Nice friendly place to stop off on way from Cornwall to London. They had a baby changing area and highchair but the café is on the first floor.

Visited this place with my dog. It is dog friendly so that is definitely a bonus. Staff/chef were very friendly and I had a great eggs Benedict and my dog enjoyed her sausages!😆 Lovely spot and will visit again, without my greedy dog.

Travelling from Watford and found this little hidden gem of a place. Absolutely fantastic people and food. Very dog friendly and we were able to take a proper rest. The service station stops along the way are heaving with people and cars which was not exciting to endure after hours of travelling. But this little hidden gem not even a minute off the main road was so quiet and quaint. Highly recommended!
