Absolutely amazing little pub/inn. Staff are all lovely, had a chat and a laugh with them all. The rooms are clean, comfy and cosy. Clean beer, clean cider, food was incredible. Honestly couldnt fault the place one single bit. Will definitely return! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

EDIT: only a couple of things I’d ask for, an extension lead or something so it’s possible to charge your phone on the bedside, and a metal spoon for hot drinks or more than 1 wooden one (so i can enjoy the absolutely stunning hot chocolate before bed but also have a coffee in the morning). Still cant fault the place. Really wanna come back very soon!!

Stayed here for one night and had the loveliest experience! The rooms were modern, beautifully kept, and absolutely spotless — such a refreshing find in the Lake District. The facilities were excellent throughout, and our breakfast was absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back!

Faultless!! We haven't stayed in the pub overnight but have given top marks for the public space we used. The food was delicious... ALL OF IT! Kids ate up and my husband and I thought the roast beef and prawn starter were the tastiest for miles around.... the gravy was to die for!

Service was with smiles and nothing was too much trouble. We were welcomed and there was interest in our weekend plans.

We will be back for sure if we are ever in the area.

This wonderful pub is a must if you're ever in the area 👌

Lovely pub, friendly and helpful staff. We visited near to kitchen closing due to travelling a distance for our holiday and being stuck in a lot of traffic. This wasn't an issue, as we notified them, they were really helpful and understanding, we didn't feel rushed. They're also super dog friendly. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced too. Looking forward to visiting later in the week for their 'alternative afternoon tea'. Well worth a visit if you're in the area!

Didn't stay at the New Crown Inn as we were staying at a Sykes cottage next door (Garth End, fabulous). Popped in late Friday afternoon for a drink, and were warmly welcomed. I had already booked a table for Sunday lunch, before arriving in Bolton. The food was great, sadly we all commented on the fact that we only got one toastie. That and the sad lack of apple and blackberry crumble for two puddings mean I knocked off a star.

Having said that, we'd love to go back if we were staying in the area again

Overnight stop in this beautiful family run country inn. Felt at home as soon we walked through the door. Room was fabulous bed comfy fluffy white towels could go on and on … u’ll just have to book and find out how wonderful the place is Had delicious evening meal, service 100% breakfast was also great
Thomas one of the owners was just lovely great chat about the place and how he came to own it along with his sister who we met the evening before and was just as lovely. If we’re ever in the area again will make a point of staying again 😍

We visited this pub for dinner tonight. We wasn't disappointed. Good food the kids also loved it.
Portion sizes were great.

We’ve just spent a week in Bolton and ended up in the New Crown Inn more times than we can count. Didn’t stay there, but it soon felt like our local while we were away. Friendly folk, both behind the bar and sat at it, and a decent choice of beers to work through.

The food’s spot-on – I had a Cumberland sausage pizza that was so good I had to take a photo. Dog-friendly too, which is a big plus for us, and ours made himself right at home.

Cracking pub, good atmosphere, and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re up.
