Nice pub with big TVs, which is why I went there, to watch football. Nice beer, and I had a pizza. It was served hotter than molten lava. When it was finally safe to eat. It was delicious. Shame about the result of the game. But I can't hold that against the pub.

My local pub always a friendly face to chat with and have laugh for an hour after work... Sunday lunch is good quality at good price and the homemade pizzas in the week are top notch… Beer is always clean and prices cheap compared to the rest of ilminster…

First time for Sunday lunch today with the family. Beef or Pork, very tasty meat, plenty of potatoes and veg. Very pleasant staff, well worth a visit.

Great pub, lovely staff and great pizzas.
Sky TV and BT Sport's. Pool table and dart boards.

AVOID!

Incredibly difficult experience trying to book tables for my girlfriend and I to eat and drink for two entire evenings for the knockout stages of the European championships.

I asked initially if they'd be showing the games, whereby I was asked who it is that's playing...only to be told that they generally show all the games anyway.

I asked to book a table for both nights as we are planning out our holiday in the area and have been advised to book ahead for tables for games.

The man on the phone told me I needed to call back in a week when he will know whether or not it was neccesary to take bookings or not.

I asked whether I could just book the two evenings earlier now because I'd hate to miss out on a table because there was a rush of bookings next week or if I forgot for any reason. If they are going to require bookings then we'd already have secured our tables...if not...then the pub would have secured our business for the two evenings.

The man on the phone got extremely irritable and rude while talking to me.

We were looking forward to spending lots of money there on both evenings. But we'll rethink things now.

Great pub. Great atmosphere and friendly locals. Top food and the best landlord and lady you'll find. Good selection of drinks on tap, fairly regular live music too. Highly recommended.
