I have always stopped for lunch here on my visits to Glossop, as food is quite good and prices acceptable. However today I was appalled to see dirty tables left uncleaned from when I entered to when I left ( over 1 hour). I addressed a waitress about the dirty tables surrounding me, her reply was " It's busy", not true, a lot of people left as we entered and the side we were sitting on near the toilets was relatively empty; then she proceeded to say :" It IS Wetherspoon's", showing little respect for who she works f9or and giving the idea that if you go in Wetherspoon's it's normal to find dirty tables and a scruffy atmosphere

Clean, quiet (no music), airy. Natural and dimmed lighting. Relaxed vibr of mainly older people. Young staff were polite, friendly and efficient.

Normally when me and my family go away we eat at travel lodge however the one next door don’t do breakfast we noticed the eatery around the corner was a Wetherspoons so can rely on them to deliver

I’ve never actually been for breakfast before and blown away by quality and price , with clearly labelled vegan dishes and free drink refills I even made a mocha with the chocolate powder and high was an unexpected treat paired with the Avocado muffin , came Quickly and was a tasty start to the day

So much so we Returned a few days later for the fry up breakfast along with the fruit bowl , again great service and quantity to be set for the day

Absolutely brilliant munch after a long hike along Kinder Scout. The day I return to the Smithy Fold is the day I am happy once again. Til next time

Thought we'd go for a nice drive out over Pennines to Glossop and have a Spoons meal once there. Ordered Ultimate Burger for hubby and Burrito salad with an extra Chicken breast for me.
Upon getting the Burrito salad, at first glance looked lovely.
I then noticed that the "chicken breast" was just little tiny scrapings added on top, not actual chicken breast as stated on the menu. When I questioned this saying its not breast but pieces as I had paid extra for the "chicken breast" I was told that's how they do it, they pull it apart, i said but there isn't a full breast of chicken. And to me that is misleading and making people pay for something they're not getting, from this restaurant anyway.
Eventually, after debate, I got brought a breast as you can see in pics.
My next irritating bit of this visit is buying a larger pint glass of coke at an extra 20p, to find that one of the meals the glass was only a 398ml as the large one, hardly a pint but yet I paid the same price for both, hows that fair.
How do they get away with this misleading customers and not offering an upgrade when you highlight it, as a courtesy.
The staff member who sorted and brought my chicken also had a big awful rant at someone in the kitchen which I thought was out of order too. Not a pleasant experience all round, won't go again.

I had a very good breakfast and unlimited hot drinks for £8.72 visiting this Wetherspoons (my 388th).
No problems with any of the food. Service was very friendly and the place was very clean. Not too busy around 10am on a Saturday morning.
Would like to have tried the ales, but my visit was too early for a beer.
WILL return.

An especially spacious Wetherspoons in a converted mill. I was staying at the Travelodge upstairs, so it's useful that this Spoons opens at 7am for breakfast. Warm and friendly service from the duty manager too!
