A group of friends came to enjoy what we believed was an inclusive club, but we were treated very rudely by the door staff, causing our entire party to leave. Vaults has really declined, and they should reconsider the staff they hire to represent the club.

Odd. I ordered several double spirit and mixers, and everyone found they tasted very watered down/non
.
We asked for shots on one order and they poured the drink from a different bottle to the one they used for mixed drinks. I challenged the bar staff after i claimed to them that im sobering up despite ordering and drinking several double and cokes, and they suggested that maybe I was too drunk to tell. It's bizarre..in every other establishment I've been to, I've always been able to taste the alcohol in a double and mixer... Here, not able to and by the end of the night I felt like I could drive home by the amount of water they gave, claiming it was spirit and mixer. The fact that I challenged them, and they denied it, and suggested the problem was with me is actually rude, disrespectful and disgusting behavior... Many people confirm the drinks we were given were very low alcohol compared with what we ordered and charged for. The one star review is because they refuse to admit it, and because I think this should be illegal to declare they are giving you alcohol when they clearly aren't giving you anywhere close to what they advertise they are

I would add zero stars if I could.

I had an appalling experience at Vaults this evening. After using the restroom, I accidentally took a staircase, thinking it led to the dance floor or bar, only to find myself behind the bar area. Instead of being politely redirected, I was manhandled and dragged outside without any opportunity to explain my mistake.

Despite my attempts to plead my case and clarify that I had done nothing wrong, the bouncers refused to listen and even went as far as ejecting my entire group of friends. This level of unprofessionalism and aggression is completely unacceptable.

Vaults clearly lacks proper customer service and relies on unnecessarily heavy-handed tactics. I would strongly advise others to avoid this establishment if they value being treated with basic dignity and respect.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Absolutely horrendous experience several weeks back.

I had just ordered a drink and 2 security guards came up behind me and said I need to leave without explaining why. One grabbed my arm (not hard but it was completely unnecessary).

They escorted me upstairs of which they then told me I was pushing through the crowd 'aggressively'. This was an absolute lie. It was packed that night so yes it was a struggle to get through the crowd, but no way was I doing that. I then spoke to the manager who was outside and suddenly the story changed to I was 'being hostile to bar staff'. Another daft lie, I absolutely love the bar staff in vaults and I am always polite to them.

On top of this, I was not able to get my jacket out of the cloakroom straight away as they would not let me get it, and they would not give my money back for the drink I just bought.

I hate to say it, but being mixed race, it is not the first time that I have been mistaken for another mixed race girl here and accused of something. Albeit that time there was an apology for the mistake, but this time(I believe this must of been what was happening again) I was left in pure disbelief in how I was treated and I will not be visiting again.

37 years of being a gay man, I have never experience such a bizarre ,messed up situation as going to this establishment. I can honestly say if you are a bi trans or gay. Or remotely anyone who resembles anything under the rainbow flag, avoid this place at all cost. Does not support local community at all the people living in the city should be extremely disappointed in the venue and the door staff. sorry guys you were cute but obviously no intelligence there to understand the situation that was occurred in front of you. So threatened, not just once but twice at the venue once for dancing and the second was for having an opinion. This is not a safe space

CHLOE was homophobic, misogynistic and disgustingly rude to me and my party. She was unwelcoming and completely unreasonable and not letting in those who are thought to be welcome in a gay bar. The rest of the staff were lovely and supportive however seemed to be overruled by a rude and inconsiderate woman named Chloe.

This venue barred me for no reason at all.

Myself and my friends tried to talk to them, but it transpires that it is run by nasty egotistical maniacs who aren’t interested in making money, only in their egos.

I would recommend to stay away from this place. The sooner it closes down the better for Exeter.
