How can you employ someone to follow around paying customers to insinuate they’re stealing and make them feel uncomfortable . I was right by the till and placing Koolaid sachets from the box onto the till IN FRONT of the cashier.
I asked the cashier what the man’s problem is he said he’s doing his job. Doing his job by making customers feel uncomfortable?
The cashier with his bald self berated me and told me to get out his shop or he’ll put hands on me. He threatened me with violence and I will never come back to this establishment again.
This place does not deserve black people’s money. They berate black women as if theirs are any better. lol. Then open establishments in black communities so they can take our money.

Edit to add : the bald man behind the desk has been flirting with me since I’ve been in a secondary school uniform.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the Indian man behind the till. I was refused to be served because (in his own words) he “likes to be awkward” oh and had the audacity to say “because he can refuse to serve it’s his choice” who actually treats a paying customer like this. Furthermore a customer that’s done nothing wrong?!

Seriously how is this man KARMJEET running a business, this level of service is not acceptable!

Absolutely shocking, racism and discrimination that is going on in 2022! In handsworth.
This Indian business owner has no respect for black/multicultural community and we must stop buying from them. This RUDE totally unprofessional man’s whole shop is stocked with Caribbean every day essentials!
If I could leave him 0 stars I would. The other-two directors of this company really ought to speak to this man as he has no customer service and is shocking for business!

Absolute disgraceful service! KARMJEET be sure all the old people and young (that don’t speak English) you have working for you have relevant documentation as I will be reporting your business! Rest assured I will not let this go after the way you behaved today! Take note you never know who you’re serving.

Reading your previous reviews (and your pathetic response to them) shows your absolutely inadequate to be front of store, and you must certainly should not be replying to the public that complain about your poor service and barefaced racism.

Never ever go to this disgusting shop!

Considering Ive been going wholesalers since my granny was alive, (I'm now one myself) to be treated like I was....... No. Caribbean people, West/East Indian people, if you can avoid spending your hard earned money here, and go to another wholesalers, who know how to speak to, and treat their customers, then go. They most certainly will NOT be getting our money again, and will make sure I let my friends in the area know to pass it on to those they know, as well as the cook shops, know as well ........ I couldn't believe it. The woman at the til with her snide "everything is black this" remark didn't sit well either. I chose not to turn around and answer her.
Also, be wary of the toilet....đŸ€ą, if you can do better, then avoid it. I've never been in one where the outside of it, the neck, is 'black'.....đŸ€ź Looks as though it's NEVER seen water. I should have taken a photo....đŸ€š Maybe it'll get cleaned now...

Disgusting customer service. Very rude man hiding behind a woman cashier. I would not recommend at all....Your response is pure lies. Check your cctv mate. Just because you knew you was out of order. Happy to shop elsewhere & will ensure others follow.

I am a regular shopper at this store and today I was told I had to wear a mask to shop even though Boris announced that it is now a personal choice whether you want to wear a mask so i was not happy to see that this shop still would refuse me for no mask. VERY DISAPPOINTED
As I have my on business I know what the covid rules are and further more at not one point did the lady that stopped me offer the service of me waiting outside while the things I wanted was sourced but thanks for the reply

Bought a fake Jamaican sorrel drink produced by Tropics Foods Ltd, Leeds. It tasted disgusting had none of the cultural ingredients used by a Jamaican company. Stop trying to defraud Jamaicans you do not know their culture. This product is a rip off and a waste of money guys don’t buy it.

I’m really disappointed and dissatisfied with my visit on Thursday afternoon to your shop. This isn’t the first time to your establishment, I come and spend my money regularly when I’m in the area. From the moment I arrived a worker (the youngest guy in the shop I didn’t get his name) was hugely disrespectful and made me feel really uncomfortable. Straight away upon arriving and deciding what I’m going to buy. Any item I took off the shelves and put into my basket he was right there up my backside in an huffing and puffing manner pushing other items forward in replace. In a very fast and rushing manor which made me feel uncomfortable. I went about my business and carried on shopping. Every time I come to your shop I buy zoflora in scent “sweet pea” this is my favourite and is very hard to get else where. I had to manoeuvre and pick up a box they were stood in to reach some of this scent from the back as I bought 3 for £2.50 and there wasn’t many at the front. As I was placing these back and putting them back in place and sorting them the same worker come up behind me with a raised voice saying
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING” I explained to him, when I didn’t have to- that I was getting the scent I wanted and putting the rest back. He continued with a raised voice and attitude saying “THATS NOT RIGHT” in reference to how I put them back. Because there was a couple missing as I had taken them. By this time my blood was boiling and I felt really disrespected. I asked him why he was speaking like this too me, that I don’t work here or get paid and especially being spoken to like this, and told him to sort it himself. I went on to explain I am a customer in this shop spending my hard earned money and he is being extremely rude. We went back and fourth with raised voices and I continued to tell him his manor is disgusting for someone to work in a shop and to be dealing with customers in this way. He didn’t apologise in anyway, and just kept arguing back and forth with me. What is even more appalling is the shop wasn’t busy, all other workers could hear us arguing in the shop and no one intervened or told him to stop.
My mum heard what was going on from around the other side of the shop and asked what’s going on. For no one to question it is even more disappointing. As I was coming to the end of picking my items I heard his voice again from
Behind me being very rude saying “EXCUSE ME” I went on to say “PLEASE” he started arguing with me again saying why should he have to say please to me and he’s not going to say please. I move so he can get passed with the trolly which then my mum was in the way he said to her every so lightly and politely “excuse me please”
I am absolutely disgusted to have come into your shop and treated to and be spoken to in this way. You should be ashamed that you have such a disrespectful worker amongst you & are treating your customers this way.

Unfortunately for you I am a secret shopper. This experience will be marked against your establishment.
I looking forward to hearing your reply
(Ps please don’t reply asking me to email you as your email doesn’t work)
