I found the owner extremely rude and miserable. He appeared to speak to people like absolute rubbish, but would rush to take your money. I will say that he runs his business well, organised and efficient. But, all of that is pointless with such a terrible attitude. I never felt welcome, despite spending money on Blacking and around one years rent to leave at the 'marina'. If you want to leave your boat with an old bully, then enjoy.

We have bought and sold two boats through VC Marine, we've also had lots of work done by High Line Yachting over many years. They are a pleasure to work with. Kerry is always happy to help with any queries. There is the added benefit of having craning available on-site for surveys or works needed.

Being completely new to boat buying and subsequent CC living, Kerry was great at introducing and guiding us through the whole process from viewing and learning about widebeam boats to maintenance and renovation know how. They had a broad range of boats available and priced really well compared to other venders, each boat on offer was presented with a wealth of history and specification information. The boat we did decided to purchase required works before we were able to live aboard, during the renovation there were no nasty surprises or problems with the 17 year old vessel which overall was a testament to VC's knowledge and prior sale inspection.

8 months on we are super happy with our purchase, joyfully continuously causing around London in a boat we call home. Really thankful to VC Maine for negotiating on our behalf and establishing a fair and honest deal. We couldn't recommend them enough for first time boat buyers or people looking to upgrade.

I recently sold my boat through VC Marine and am very, very happy with the service.
I had previously had her on the market with another broker (who overvalued her and I didn't get a single viewing). Then I tried to sell her myself which was stressful with lots of people looking who weren't really in a position to buy. It was all a real headache.
When Kerry from VC Marine came round with her colleague, they gave me an honest opinion of what the boat was worth and how long she'd take to sell. They also told me what was worth doing in terms of presenting my boat to look her best and what to leave.
I had offers of very near the asking price within a couple of weeks and within a month, the boat was gone and the money was in my account. It was all very stress-free.
Also, VC Marine offered to have my boat on their moorings whilst she was for sale so that I no longer had to pay mooring fees. They handled all the viewings too which was fabulous as I had moved 200 miles away so it was proving difficult.
Finally, the commission was really reasonable - much less than the first broker I tried and he wasn't offering any moorings.

We had our 71 foot narrowboat painted at HL cowley. Absolutely brilliant service. Responding to all our (many) requests. Paul is a master craftsman, building up the paint layer by layer. Neil and the team did an outstanding job. Seriously treat HL like a new start up. No complaints and lovely people.

I have emailed - no response, I have phoned - no answer just goes to answerphone beep without any introduction/words about leaving a message. These are not isolated efforts of contacting this brokerage.
