Tried to contact the store for an hour to see if an item was available to collect the same evening as their website and app kept changing from “collect right away” to “collect the next day”…. No one answered the phone considering it says the store closes at 9pm and to top it off the robot that you end up speaking to hangs up the phone on you anyway! Would say terrible customer service but I didn’t experience any.

The store manager was rude and belligerent. I'm over 30 years old and was denied a kitchen utensils set (mostly plastic such as a serving spoon, though one blunt pair of scissors) but as I forgot my id was denied service. I do not look under 25 and am as mentioned in my thirties. Furthermore my order was in two parts, the first part came with a kettle and toaster. The other with an air fryer and freezer which is fairly evident I am furnishing my new place. He not only denied service but the manager Nick was rude and even though I wasn't able to precure the order I still have to wait 5 days to receive my refund.
Would not recommend shopping here and instead another store with more helpful and less rude staff.

Usually okay. Today I wanted to use my Argos card to pay for a couple of items but I didn't bring any other physical cards with me because I lost my wallet a few weeks ago so everything is on my phone now. When I went to pick up the items I ordered in store I was asked for an id which I didn't have with me because I haven't used the card in a long time so I didn't even think about it. I didn't know that Argos accepts debit cards as proof of ID or I would have mentioned that I have my card on my phone. Still, I was trying to see if maybe a proof of an electronic bill would be enough. The person at the till was trying to check with their manager or whoever it was at the back and they asked them to ask me if I had the app installed to which I said no because I hadn't used the card in a long time so I had uninstalled the app. I asked if I could install the app on the spot and log in, they said no.

I would have accepted if they just said "no physical id, no collection" instead, they decided to keep my card and say that I can have it back when I bring some id to prove the card is mine.
I understand trying to protect the customer from card misuse but I really didn't appreciate the insinuation that just because I don't have the app installed that I have either stolen the card or found it somewhere and I'm trying to use it. I'm pretty sure you can use the card online with no pin or any sort of id check and get the item delivered to you so it doesn't make sense. If I was trying to use someone else's card you think I would go all the way to the store? I told them to keep the card. I'm not going back there just for that and I will never use this Argos again.

Did shopping for over £60 and when collecting forgot bank card. Argos menager refused to give a box or a bag to carry 10 bulky items unless I will pay extra 30p. I explained that I don't have bank card on me. She didn't care and called colleague to laugh when I was walking away with boxes high like a tower in front of my face barely holding. It's the only argos now in town and customer service reached rock bottom. Shame.

Argos Crawley - such a rude staff here, they are giving you even more tough time when you need to exchange or return an item, they will get super rude and make you so uncomfortable in front of other customers and ignores you.

This is my 3rd or 4th time, they refuse returning or exchange the item which was in warrenty, asking so many questions and at the end refuse returning or exchanging it.

The same item with other Argos Branches like east grinstead staff are always happy to return or exchange and always deal with respect.

The guys named BLAKE who called himself a manager is rude and needs to learn some basic manners to deal with customers specially the customers coming with kids, he cant be that rude that even kids are getting uncomfortable and upset.

I will better buy things from amazon or other stores and avoid such rude faces.

Queued up outside to collect my item only to get to the counter and be given a bashed up box and told sorry, the box and item are damaged. Was then told my options were to accept the damage item or get a refund and reorder the item myself because they couldn't sort out a replacement or reorder for me. Spoke to the manager who wasn't much better and gave me a good will gesture and said there you go passing me the box back. I had to say i didn't want the item and was left with no option other than to take a refund and sort out a replacement myself! Why they even told me my order was ready knowing it was damaged, i don't know. Not impressed.

Very rude. I went into the store with a hold all once with a friend ad we traded 200 games and electronics. We entered the store and we heard code red hardware. They then had 6 staff members around following us and pushing us out the door.

I went into the store to purchase items not to be bullied out of the store because they judged us.

BEWARE of this store they are rude and judgemental towards the customers. Avoid this store
