Food was stale, cod had no taste and it was like chewing on rubber, chips were soppy and oily, how this establishment can be packed constantly is beyond me, the fish and chip shop by tesco is 5 star compared to this. Never again

I paid a lot of money for fish, large chips and large mushy peas. Waited for fish to cook. Thought off when counter called, not right, but confirmed it was and didn’t want to call my number as someone was on the mobile phone. Went home with it. A large bag of chips and a pot of an unknown sauce. Had to drive all the way back. Came home with 1/2 kids version of chips compared to large bag, normal fish and some mushy peas. Lots of driving and waiting and returning for little food. Very expensive meal. Will not be returning as it was ridiculous what happened!!
I did not pay by card, previously been turned away as cash only. So arrived with cash. Wow, your reply of very scathing and blaming of me for not getting an order right!!! I had to drive 12 miles back to change it. Of course I would not be happy!!! And no apology, so just wanted to leave. Wow, your attitude shows in the review. Very unprofessional.

Found this fish and chip shop via Google on our way back from holiday. What an absolute gem! the service was fantastic, the fish was brilliantly cooked and the chips were very tasty too. Well done to all those reviews - you weren't wrong and I would endorse with a five-star review of my own. Isn't the internet brilliant for when you need it. Google maps took straight from the main road to the shop - no problems. If we are ever in the area again will definitely stop by - well done all!

Expats returned from Australia, hankering after good old English fish and chips! Boy they did not disappoint. Best fish and chips we had since touring the UK.. staff were super friendly, food portions were enormous and the taste was fantastic. Thanks guys.. we will see you next time we are in the country!
