Be careful if you buy from the airport you can only return items to the airport, if I'd have known I would not have bought from here. I purchased two books for my holiday, they did not make it out of the suitcase for reading. Went to return at my nearest WHSmith (airport is not close by) was then told I could not return them unless I went back to the airport. I do wish I'd have known this prior to purchase, having searched for ages on the website there's a small sentence stating they cannot be returned to any store. So just be aware!

Not only a badly stocked shop, also a rip-off. Took 2 meal-deals to the unmanned self-serve check out to be charged full price for one. No human staff on duty to talk to. Will never use Smiths at the airport again and will probably avoid the brand in future if this is an example of the company's ethos.

An insult to your customers. No assistants anywhere to be found, totally unmanned. I do not do self service check outs, furthermore, why should I do your job for you and what retard thought this was a good idea ? I do NOT have to present a boarding card to make a purchase of a VAT exempted item. Get yourselves sorted out and be customer orientated you disgrace to retail. I left the shop without making any purchases and will go elsewhere, not using your shops anymore.

Customer service is awful. Even though the store was open the lady (Asian) didn't serve me saying she had not got the till draw in. We all know that card transactions can be made without cash draw in. I wanted to pay by card but she still refused.

She was very rude and unapologetic about whole situation.

And next time I came into the store I wanted to get Mothers day card. The card didn't have a pricetag on it , I tried to scan it but it wasn't on the system. The SAME lady appeared 3minutes after my friend actually went to her and asked her if she could come and help me she ended up using a piece of paper she scanned with a random barcode on and said that card is £4,49. I didn't want to say anything however if I am sure that price wasn't right as there were bigger and nicer cards for the same price.

Worst wh Smith ever, removed all humans so you have to scan everything yourself, meal deal items mislabelled and jumbled up, just one stressed lady trying to restock and deal with the people struggling to scan stuff. A message for WH Smith - personally I'd prefer to pay a little more and be served by a human than this shambles of an airport store. It's a disgrace.

Buying a meal deal. Came up at £4.99 instead of 3.999. Assistant said ivd picked a 4.99 sandwich so I went back to check. There were loads of my sandwich on the 3.99 shelf... She didn't even look. I'm off to burger king

Standard WhSmith shop. Sometimes messy sometimes ok. Would say it is 50x50 hit and miss chance ?
