I feel really shameful in front of the counter because I cancelled three nodel packs cause the bag I have is too heavy with over £50 value groceries and not enough space I didn't realise that, and one of the women in the counter tell me if you don't want to buy these why did you put in the basket with completely unpleasant facial expression and it makes me really regretted why I came in to this shop.....to be honest I am a big customer since I arrive to the UK since one year ago but I am really sorry I will never come back to your shop again.....absolutely feel sad. Giving service to your customers is your duty.

Employees very rude. If you hate your job leave, grumpy old women. Making me feel unwelcome. Just wanted togarashi. Told me to shut up and go to the counter. How does that make sense? So rude, work on your customer service. Period

Went there today but were told by the security guard that we had to leave our shopping bags at the front door! There was no system in place to ensure no one else would or could pick up your bag as they left so it was totally uncontrolled. We decided to leave, there were 2 other people outside who were also unwilling to leave their shopping unattended. So they lost 4 customers in seconds!! We just went to a supermarket across the way. We were 2 pensioners treated as though we were seasoned shop lifters.
Update- asked by owners to give the shop another chance, if it was a 'one off' experience I may consider it but if you read other reviews I am not the only person to be treated as though I'm a thief on entering this shop. I will not be returning to have the security guard tell me to leave my shopping bag unattended at the door, how does he know which bag belongs to which customer? Anyone could take your shopping bag as they leave. Stupid idea I shan't return whilst you have this system in place, there are far more friendly supermarkets to shop in.

Visited this Asian supermarket today, found that big jar of Laoganma crispy chilli oil that I haven't seen in another Asian supermarket yet (usually I only see big jar with other flavors), I was really happy to see that as my partner and I really love it!

- This supermarket have variety of Asian foods & drinks (Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Japan, Korean...etc).

- Prices are pretty fair.

- Some items don't have price on it.

- Inside of the supermarket is really really narrowed, each isles barely can fit 2 people at same time. I'd suggest to go when it's not busy.

Overall it's not a bad place to grab some Asian goodies, but it's really too narrow to walk around when there's people in the aisles. Will try to avoid to go if there's too many people inside of the supermarket.

The moment I stepped in, I felt unwelcome. The security guard assumed I was stealing because I was holding a bag. Then, when I approached the cashier, she asked if I was paying by card. When I said yes, she laughed and said, "Minimum £5." I told her to forget it and left.

I'll never shop here again.

Hello (owner) of Wing Fat Supermarket Manchester,

In Hong Kong tradition, people do not visit each other today, to avoid arguing and quarreling. I don't argue with any person today, until now.

After several months from Mid Autumn Festival, suddenly I become a "Google reviewer with no history" with your comment. Luckily, I am NOT the only one to point out the ridiculous no-bag rule of the store.

What I said is true.

"Highlight this in person with the management team", NO, not worth spending my time on this. If you care your business enough, talk to your management team and your frontline staff, including the guard, instead of "replying" me, well, after 4 months.

True, to date I only have 2 reviews. I don't write reviews as a habit, nor for a living. I write only when I have something to say, especially when I was disappointed. My another review was for a hotel in London, 3 years ago.

Happy Lunar New Year everybody! I say it again: as customers, we deserve to be treated properly. We have ample choices of Asian/Chinese supermarkets in Manchester.

FIRST EVER to be asked to drop my shopping tote bag at the entrance of a shop. Inside, I see persons carrying their backpacks. I ask the security guard why I can't bring my bag. "I am not here to argue with you" said the guard. "all right, ok" I said, then just walk out. That's the end of the conversation. I am not there to argue neither.
No, it is NOT ok. I just don't buy this weird, selective house rule. You/I have better choices of Chinese/Asian supermarkets in Manchester. Happy mid-Autumn Festival.

Been shopping there for fews year but decided to buy from other supermarkets now. The Security guard is terribly ride, potentially he is the owner of business. The rule of no bag in shop is too stupid, not even empty bag. It’s a must to be treated like a thief once you get in. Definitely not going there again.

This supermarket was my favourite, sells good items, price was the lowest compared to another supermarket in china town. However, same price applies to another supermarket and the horrible security they hire(or maybe own the business)

This was a fantastic shop to visit, where various products are available and laid out properly in different sections! I bought a Chinese strawberry soda drink that was really tasty, after friendly service from the cashier and cleanliness had been maintained.
