Charming shop with a wide choice of gifts, then I found the staircase and wondered upstairs to an array of wonderfully designed cushions, throws, ornaments , wall clocks and unique hand blown glass vases. I dare you to walk in and come away empty handed. John the owner was to hand and extremely helpful when answering a couple of my questions regarding the gifts in the shop.

Very disappointing experience today. I have been a regular customer of Wow but will not be using this shop again. We had taken my 2 year old son in to choose a present for his baby cousin. He had picked up a soft silicone night light which was on display at his level as are many toys/products. He was not playing with the item or even moving around with it, purely holding it. A member of staff then proceeded to tell him it was a light so took it off him and put it back amongst the products. He was visibly upset crying so we left the shop and found another lovely nightlight in a different gift shop on the high street.
I did go back to the shop to explain to the member of staff and the owner that I felt it was unnecessary to have taken the light from him and that especially with him being 2 years old it would have been more appropriate to speak to myself or my husband. Unfortunately her response was that she had been polite and they kept reiterating it was because I'd have had to pay if it was broken. I checked and it wasn't but I feel there should be signs around the store if they do not want anyone touching the products or they should not be displayed at the level of the floor. I'm a firm believer in supporting the high street but will not be entering this shop again!

I absolutely love this incredible little gem. During lockdown I was able to purchase so many wonderful items for our new home by messaging John and collecting by myself with no one else in the shop.
Hythe is as special as it is due to shops like WOW on our high street, John and his team are friendly and accommodating xxx

We came up from Devon to see my wifes Auntie Joan. We wanted to get her a few nice things for looking after us. Wow!!😂🤣👍👍. What a find!! We got her some fantastic things for the Garden and something to wear and a Puzzle Book. The Owners are also Fantastic and Happy People. I have been quite a regular visitor to Wow in Hythe as we walk along the High Street. It is nice to see there are still independent businesses going strong in the High Street that is chocked with charity shops and hairdressers.

John and his staff always make us feel welcome whether we buy anything or just browse.

Covid has been a pain for all businesses and being asked to wear a mask and use the sanitiser is part of the Government's advice not some spurious idea from shopkeepers. If you don't want to use the sanitiser or are allergic, open your mouth and say so, and bring your own? Not rocket science.

Eclectic! Lots of ideas for presents for children, adults and oneself. Very pleasant staff, always friendly.
