It has been my pleasure to have been given the opportunity by Val to 'field test' Yuglet wool over the last few years as an outdoor professional, mostly in the sea kayaking field. In this time I have taken these hats (and a jumper) from my home in Scotland to both polar regions of the world with journeys in Greenland, Norway, Patagonia and Antarctica to name a few. These are extremely well made items which are durable and comfortable. I've taken to prefering wool over synthetic materials for it's longevity and comfort when wet and their heat properties in harsh conditions, the sacrifice is often that it can be harder on the skin or itchy. This wool however bucks that trend and is delightfully soft and comfortable and has retained that over a long lifespan. It also hasn't shrunk or felted over time. On my part they've endured fairly abusive treatment (think stuffed wet into damp dry-bags for days on end then exposed to hot sun repeatedly over and over) and have stood the test of time.

I will continue wearing these hats for years to come all over the world. Their next stop is Antarctica in 2026.
