I'm not one to leave crap reviews for no reason. This Argos is pretty good, in terms of ordering. And then collecting. But this is where they lose marks.

We ordered a tumble dryer. It wasn't in stock, so we had to collect next day. No gripes there. They can't stock everything. Our dryer came next day, as advised, and I got my confirmation text.

On collection, however, our dryer was dragged into the collection area. And that was it. Off you go. You're on your own, mate. No trolley. No back door collection point. That's it. We were expected to hand ball a 32kg tumble dryer all through the shop to the front door, with weekend shoppers all in the way and not giving a flying fat arse about me and my poor wife dragging this fatting dryer out to the car.

There isn't even a loading bay for the car next to the shop, LIKE THERE IS AT CURRYS!!!!

We managed eventually. But what if this had been a much heavier washing machine? Or I'd been alone?

Sorry, Argos. Just not good enough.

Customer service and the lady manager very rude.
When try to return something back they tried hardly to find any excuses to not returning it back
Like example ( oh the box has a little black mark I can’t take it back )
But I’ve took it to Argos in Perry par they took it back with out any headache or any problems

This Argos in Sainsbury’s Castle Vale has probably the worst most incompetent staff I’ve literally ever known in my whole 30 years… I’ve had fourteen jobs now mostly in retail, and also the services, I’ve been in plenty of times with my little girl and each time they haven’t got a sodding clue about anything! They are clueless and the most miserable people I’ve honestly ever known! I think they employ anyone with half a brain cell and stick them out on front without any training whatsoever. Argos need to train there staff in this store from scratch and teach them how to give efficient customer service! It’s not hard to put a smile on your face and treat people how you like to be treated!!! Went in an hour ago and again the same service! Even two other customers in front of me were extremely unhappy with the staffs service and demanded to see a manager as the ones serving her were so incompetent and dim witted!! I advise anyone to go to another Argos store around the area… as these lot are just useless and clearly hate there job….

Manager was extremely rude and disrespectful, I arrived to return an item back as it said that you could return it within 30 days, the reason I returned it was because it was crashing and was extremely slow and made it hard to do school work or anything really and for some reason she didn't allow me to return the laptop because "she couldn't see any issues" and then proceeded to not allow me to return the item even though it said on the website that you could return it, she was being stubborn and didn't let us return it instead.. definitely not coming back here

The worst shopping experience, i avoid them if i can. Systems are faulty, smart shopping doesn’t scan 20 % of products- in fact i just left half of my shopping as i couldn’t even find any assistance to help - usually they are understaffed or the stuff is too busy to chat with each other, and the few who actually trying to be useful often not prepaired and not familiar with their own system therefore they are unable to help. Items are often under the wrong price tag too… Bascally it’s a mess and a 10 min shopping is 30 minute because it is entirely do if yourself.

Had a terrible experience. The girl with the big lips and her manager really bullied me. I spent 3 hours trying to get a refund for a product which i never used. They said if i didnt use it how do i know it has a fault. They said what did you expect, its not an ipad should have bought an ipad.I cried. How can people even say things like that when we are going through a cost of living crisis and not everyone can afford an ipad. They refused to help me and ended up calling headoffice who told them it was my right to get a refund. Im thankful to the lady who helped me argos customer service, she was so kind and helped me and apologised for the behaviour of employees at that store. Ive never in all.my life had such a bad customer service, and never met such nasty horrible people. Fare play to the 3rd lady in the store who ended up being helpful after a bad start and gave me her tissues, she was so nice ,goes to show how one bad apple can ruin the rest. Last time i cried like this was at my dads funeral. Guys avoid tgis store if returning something, they will treat you like a criminal ,animal or whatever bad think you can think off. That girl who told me i should have bought an ipad is very evil person, you can just tell shes not a happy person.
