Several times I've gone through the process of online ordering of items, picked collection slot, and paid for entire order, only to either; turn up to collect, and be told several items are not available, with ridiculous replacements or to receive emails hours before collection to be told Order is cancelled, no reason/s given.
Given up with this unreliable malaise store.

This store looking a bit sad and unloved now , messy shelves and lack of trolleys , the ones left are difficult to,use .
Scan and Go , great if you can get a handset , my one died half way through my large shop 😩!
Staff friendly and had most things I wanted , shame we could only buy 3 x ASDA ESSENTIAL range now due to change in stores , not great as i have a large family.
Why must you promote alcohol and ultra processed foods at the end of every aisle?
Good to see EV chargers for electric cars .

visited 6/06/2025.Husband used mens toilets He said they were disgusting.1 stall closed with leaking pipes; 1 stall blocked with faeces & 1 very smelly stained pan. Neither of the 2 open stalls had toilet paper.Generally seemed as though not being cleaned thoroughly.

Just awful. I use Asda for the convenience as they always have delivery slots available last minute as opposed to their competitors where you have to order quite far in advance.
Despite the occasional mistake and irrelevant substitutions I’ve continued to shop there, so it’s kind of my own fault for continuing to put my trust into them.

Last week I ordered a full weekly shop, it was due to be delivered on Sunday evening. Not only did it arrive later than my booked slot, but two thirds of the shop was missing. Apparently the driver ‘forgot’ to put ALL chilled food on the van, so this did not only affect my food shop, but many others in the area too!
Because of this, I was left with no dinners for my family, no packed lunch for my kids, no milk for breakfast as it was late on Sunday and my 4 children were in bed.
There was no apology or remorse from the driver.

There was no way to find an email to get in contact with Asda so I had to waste my Monday morning on the phone to robotic, scripted customer service who initially offered me a £5 voucher for the inconvenience, which they then upped to a £10 voucher and then a £20 voucher. Bearing in mind the Asda delivery cost alone was about £6 and I now had no food for the week and have to wait 5 days for my £70 refund to go back on my card before going shopping again.
They refused to have the remainder my shop delivered to me, which was all I wanted - so I’m sure all of that chilled food will be fine wasted now as I doubt they would go round putting the whole towns chilled food back on the shelves!

I was told my complaint had been escalated and I would hear back within 24 hours, but now I know this was just a lie to get me off the phone as I’ve heard nothing from anybody apart from an email to say my refund will be with me in 5 working days!

Despicable service, letting a family go hungry for the week because you can’t fix your mistakes and offer a service that I’ve paid for!

I can imagine you will loose many customers in this area for sure - and I’ll continue to share my experience across every platform. Asda groceries do not even deserve one star.

Every time I go and my 5 yo wants a pizza, the counter is open but they won't make you a pizza? What's the point in your create your own pizza counter when you can't create your own? Also the guy working on there is as rude as anything and very entitled. He definitely enjoys telling customers that he isn't making pizza. Then goes and stands in the bakery chatting for half an hour!

I recently forgot to take all of my shopping when leaving the store. When I realised my mistake I phoned and was connected to Philomena in Security. She checked my story by checking my activity on camera and invited me to return to the shop to retrieve my purchase. She went to a lot of trouble on my account and when I asked if there was any way to thank her she said I could inform the store that I was very satisfied with her help and support. I have tried to do this online but cannot see a way of doing it so would be grateful if my positive experience at Asda on Tuesday this week could be attributed to Philomena
Thank you

Sometimes I pop in here only for international foods, which they carry a handful of, including tequila sometimes. There is always a queue at the self-checkout. The machine frequently needs attention by the staff. It isn't a quick process after undertaking the ID check to purchase aforementioned beverage. This is the store of last resort because I would rather take my chances enduring the traffic to Waitrose in Lewes instead of fighting this Aldi especially on a weekend. The pharmacy gets five stars.
