A well-stocked co-op in the middle of Clare, open late every day. Such a convenient place to get something to eat when you're feeling lazy. Shop is clean and hardly ever a wait to check out. However, with the number of fridges and freezers, it's SO cold inside!

This is a small co-op with an ATM just outside the entrance. Car-parking is usually a pain in the rear end but that is not really the shops fault.

It has always been a well stocked and friendly store in recent years.. i don't know if there has been change of management recently but every time i have visited this shop i end up wondering why i didn't just go to a supermarket in nearby Haverhill.
The staff have slowly and steadily become increasingly rude and all too often have the customer service skills of a house brick. What makes it worse is that i don't think they even realise how bad it is, even compared to a large supermarket that processes many many more baskets/trolleys of shopping in a given time period.

Hopefully one day it will improve again, but until then i'm doing my shopping elsewhere

My wife and I have been staying in Clare while waiting for our house to complete. During this time, the excellent and wonderful Co-Op has been our 'go-to' shop for daily essentials, certain personal items and occasional Whiskey. The staff the most friendly of any Co-Op. Their Covid system for controlling numbers is inspired, using availability of baskets. Parking outside of the store is also available and free.

Always a car park space week days in the morning or evenings... Holidays are difficult. Prices are OK ish but their food deals make sense, just have to not expect same each week. Staff are always lovely.

My friend was kicked out of the Coop and is not allowed in anymore and I don’t rate you a one star because of those reasons it’s just because she’s got kicked out and that’s really annoyed me and I would hope you and she was just out for no apparent reason she was walking around with a bottle of shampoo and one of your members of staff she just kicked her out he was just walking around with a shampoo bottle
