Handy for local shopping and good opening hours ( open daily from 6am to 10pm ) where you can really find everything we need in our lives, free cash machine, The National Lottery, The Health Lottery, PayPoint, top-up point, Amazon Hub, DPD Pick-up point, Costa Coffee machine, instore bakery, hot food stand, The Salvation Army clothing&shoes donation container, large car parking ( up to 1 hour free the Co-op customers parking ), good range at the best quality of fresh vegetables, items for general household use, alcoholic beverages, wine, spirits, soft drinks and chilled goods for sale and even more than we could imagine and the staff are very friendly and helpful especially Claire ☺️

Staff are very good and friendly. New screen has been fitted which might be good for protecting staff from germs or nasty customers but with a very small hatch to get your purchases and attempt to load things into your shopping bags without anywhere to stand your bag is difficult. To make matters worse on the side is a stand with the local newspapers. Do look after your staff but also think about your customers needs.

Used to be a handy shop to get the odd things in the week such as milk, tobacco etc but I’m now completely put off due to their dire customer care. When paying at the checkout it all went through, my partner was there on my behalf. He had to go back in with my card as they said it hadn’t all gone through and he had to do the transaction again. This time he was told it was successful. Upon checking my bank statement online they didn’t just take one payment but 2! So I contacted them and asked them to cancel the one pending transaction as they had made an error as a duplicate payment was taken, refused to help me with this until the money exited my account and told me to contact my bank. Contacted my bank and they said if I could get an authorisation code to cancel the one pending transaction from co op they could help me. Asked co - op for this and they refused to give me one saying they don’t do this and can’t cancel it their end, my bank said they should’ve been able to do this. So after a very poor customer service, I explained everything to my bank over the phone and they eventually helped me right there and then! One of the poor excuses was that multiple people had experienced the same issue on the same day because they had technical issues and apparently couldn’t find my transaction and it was coming up as “0” but were more than happy to have my money. Hit and miss with the staff in here.

some are very friendly and welcoming and will answer your questions, others you get a very curt answer with a, tough luck attitude.

The queues are always a big issue here, again depending on the staff member, sometimes the line is nearly half the length of the shop before they call someone else.

I know whoever is next till has probably said, don't call me unless it's desperate but it can get a bit extreme!

Staff are friendly and the service is good.

The shop has a variety of products for when you're in need of buying your everyday goods. The prices are slightly on the high side compared to other local shops in the area but it's still a good place to check for offers they usually have on a weekly basis.

Plenty of car parking space in front and behind of the building too.

May 2022 The store is still busy and is very convenient for small shops / last minute items. It is usually very efficient with occasional staff shortages causing queues to get out !

December 2016 - first visit since the store has been refurbished. Aisles are now wider , the bakery section is now in the central aisle and the cashier units are now all at the right hand end of the store. The wines and beers are now against the back wall of the right hand side nearby the cashier points. The outside has now been repainted in battleship grey which appears to be a standard Coop colour but it has made the store look darker and smaller than before. They had put up a new modern free standing sign for the Coop by Wrekin Drive road side in Grey and white.

Always friendly and helpful staff, easy to find things making quick stops better, never really rammed, may have 2 or 3 in a queue, any bigger the staff are quick to reduce it.
