First time visiting there for an event, and by god is it loud. It really gave me 'warehouse' vibes for raving. The unapologetic harshness of the concrete floors, steel and the overly loud system.

Our night we visited for was Anjunadeep - brilliant night. The system complimented the type of music we were there for. It really does "thud" through you. I promise you, at the front of the sound stage you will be feeling that bass turn your insides upside down. There is a lovely sweet spot in the middle where the bass isn't so heavy and you can hear the dynamic range a little more. When you're there, it's a good place to be.

Drinks were a little on the steep side mind you, but there was plenty of staff and I rarely had to wait.

I was told by a local they are planning to demolish this place for flats and it would be a crying shame. Venues like this need to remain within public culture - they bring a well needed source of entertainment and feeling of being able to hide yourself from the problems of day to day life - even if only for a little while.

Great club, great venue.

Awesome venue with fantastic sound system! Main room is huge, and the upstairs areas offer great views and more space to dance! Smaller room is more intimate but the sound is very good. Arrived at about 11 on a sold out night and was very easy to get in, got searched but not to a crazy extent.
Water station positioned in one of the bars, soap and paper in toilets, and really cool outdoor areas (especially the small one).

Went to see Chicane there, perfect venue although someone sat all night by the loos but didn't seem to be checking them. There is somewhere to check in coats, food and drink vans in a cobbled yard by the entrance. Although it us walkable to the venue from the centre of Bristol there is nothing around it so would recommend taxis if you are on your own.

I bought tickets for the 90s event on Saturday and when I turned up I discovered one of the 3 DJs I wanted to see had been dropped by Motion not the promotor.
It turns out some low life made accusations on Facebook and Motion decided to cancel the DJ.
It is completely disgusting behavior when everyone is entitled to a different opinion.
The accusations were completely unfounded and unsupported which apparently is enough to get an artist cancelled.

I saw Battle Beast (a Finnish Symphonic Rock band) with a Fantastic singer called "Noora Louhimo".... Probably the best female Rock band singer I've ever seen and I've seen a few from Charlotte Wessells of Delain and Clementine Delauney of Visions of Atlantis, she was also the backing singer with Serenity (an Austrian Symphonic band) who I saw the same night. They were good but not as good as Battle Beast.
It was my first time at your venue but it certainly won't be the last.
It's one of the best music venues I've been to.

Wow! Queue time for Sasha, John Digweed and Nick Warren went surprisingly quickly and smoothly. Entrance to two different rooms was well sound proofed so little if any interference. Drinks were understandably expensive, but that's club prices for you! Toilets were clean enough! Sound system was INCREDIBLE. Dance floor heaving with good natured clubbers! Think that's the older generation for you! Seeing these ABSOLUTE LEGENDS up close and personal (we made it to the front and stayed until 5:00am!) was quite emotional. A wonderful night out and a sunrise walk home! Cheers Motion! Brilliant xx

Great venue for live music. Seen some incredible shows here over the years and always has a good atmosphere. Worth getting there early to make sure you can get a good spot. The balcony is ideal if you don't want to be caught up in the mayhem. Can get really hot and sweaty in warm weather. Bar prices are what you'd expect and I think they do food as well although I've never tried it.

Great set up, good bar selection and sound system. Toilets are fine. But no vegetarian options at a 10 hour event!! No re-entry allowed, so have to go hungry or leave early which is a shame. All food is fried in the same oil so no option for anyone unless you're a meat & gluten eater. Otherwise great.
