It's not as good as it used to be. The removal of small tables makes visiting by 1 or 2 people less viable as you would need to share one of the larger tables. It's lost its atmosphere because of this, I believe.

I visited this store a while ago, and I was faced with a racist ignorant female staff worker as soon as I walked through the entrance doors she gave me bad attitude and dirty looks, then suddenly out of nowhere she threatened me and started accusing me that if I knocked my trolley into any shelving she would make me pay for it ? Then she has the audacity a mere 5mins after this exttordinary outburst to harrass me once again for no reason to ask me if I needed any help To which I replied no thank you, but she continued to try and tell me about Wendover fish market prices are cheaper than the price of fish in store, as her daughter shops at the market. I later discovered that she was the store manager, she wears glasses. Her behavior was absurd, offensive and obviously prejudice.

Great shop. Imagine Waitrose mixed with Morrisons and that's what it is. High end food mixed with the standard stuff. Parking is the only let down, but that's not their fault

Many may say that Budgens is simply just "a local supermarket". I protest. Budgens not only sells snacks for a movie night, last-minute essentials before a flight or ingredients for a delicious victoria sponge but, also creates the strongest of bonds no man has witnessed upon. To describe Budgens in one word? Utopia. No blemishes whatsoever. It is almost too perfect to even set foot in.

Budgens will forever remain in a safe place in my heart and in the back of my mind. I am grateful for the experience and the amazing friends that I have made along the way. Truly, the One Piece.

Thank you for a spectacular 2 years.

Forever Budgens.

Very good local supermarket, putting nearby Tesco to shame. Great for local produce - cheese, beers, bread, etc. Prices are decent.

First time I have visited since the change over from Budgens. I was told the stock is predominantly provided by Morrisons. Seems good so far, but my opinion is not formed as yet. It will depend on the length of queues i.e. the number of staff available and the ongoing quality of the food and of course the general cleanliness of the store.
