I found the perfect gift for a very special person and Merrythought committed that I would have it in 4-7 days from the UK to the middle of the US. Can you believe it arrived in 3 days from the time of order to delivery. Received a Merrythought bear - Punkie Polar Bear Cub - I got it as a birthday gift / not only is the bear cub super cute, but you can tell the quality is top notch. To think it was made by hand is so rare these days. Thank you Merrythought for creating such fine bears that all ages can enjoy!!!

The lady who served me in the Merrythought shop was extremely helpful and chatty and I was very pleased with my bear purchase. I also visited the antique shop and cafe which had a lovely view over the water. However, my low score has to reflect the overall experience of my first visit which was marred by the £100!! parking fine I received after unknowingly staying a total of 13 minutes over the free parking period. I feel that the private parking company Merrythought Village use for their visitor car park charges a highly disproportionate amount (even taking onto consideration the reduced amount of £60 if you pay immediately) for going a few minutes over time - it's just greedy. Please be aware if you are considering a visit.

I have owned a Cheeky Bear since birth and was fabulous to visit the little shop in Ironbridge where the magic is made. Fascinating display of old bears and animals, could really do with a little museum (the lady there did say that they have loads more that could go on display). Staff were so knowledgeable and helpful. Although you can only visit the shop, you can wander behind it to see the office and the workshop. Unfortunately you can't go in to the workshop - but I wouldn't want to see limbless bears anyway! Well worth dropping in and having a quick mooch around.
