My wife and I went to Austin’s last week and yet again the lady who appears in charge was miserable and yet again unhelpful.
I feel sorry for the other staff who are obviously influenced by the lady .

Be nice and helpful to your customers and maybe unlike us will return
and shop

Commenting as a non-driver who relies on home deliveries, both large and small, I have twice found the delivery process the least friendly, helpful, and uplifting of all my deliveries. This is a real shame as I always try to support local business for my benefit and theirs. My judgement of the delivery process is relative to my wide experience and is unaffected by the reasons that management has offered me as to why my situation is so awkward for them, while betraying no obvious concern that this is so.

The Chinese have a proverb ‘if you can’t smile, don’t open a shop’. The staff at Austins would do well to heed this maxim. Disinterested would be an understatement. Disinterested and unhelpful might be more apt. In future, I will go out of my way NOT to use this shop.

Bagged wood has risen in price. This is cynical profiteering. Did use this store regularly. I will not be using again.
