If you're interested in experiencing what life is like in a Siberian prison then look no further than the shower / toilet block .

Black mould everywhere, cracked tiles , shower room freezing .

£1.50 for a scoop of Maxwell house and some hot water

Only positive is the yard is well lit and pretty clean

Parked here only from a Necessity has on my way up to the northeast.
Tarmac yard 10/10
Cafe very basic more standing room than seating.
I had one of the specials meals chicken and mushroom pie chips n veg with gravy.
I would rate it 6/10 taste plenty of chicken and mushrooms slightly bland pie ,veg peas carrots chips 9/10.
Portion size 10/10

I will use again as most of the independents are few and far between must be hard to compete against welcome break and other chains.

SNAP £20.83 +vat.

The only way to improve with the facilities is slowly build upon more using this run down metropolis and driver feed back.

Drivers negative feedback is good please remember if this closes its a lost to everyone as no new indepents are doing this.

Last of all thank you to all that work at markham moor hopefully a little more up market facilities as of when affordable.

Stopped here at 12.30 on a mid week day which is prime lunch time and there were only around 10 lorries parked up. Went inside and there wasn't a single person in sight which felt very strange. A woman popped out of nowhere so I decided to order a brew to take away. Not very welcoming to say I was the only customer but the tea was spot on! Toilet area and facilities could do with a refresh I can see why it isn't very popular with truckers. However it is a good place to park for up to 2 hours for free.

Now I'm a fan of your truck stop usually. But I work nights. Sleep days. So I'm parked up. Payed for parking space and then this happened? See photo. Digging. Making so much noise. Why be open throught the day when your having work done.

Facilities are rank if I'm honest. I avoid the showers. Food is mehhh. Needs so serious updates inside. Only decent bit is parking.

Very nice egg on toast. And your tea is very nice. Must be the northern water. Or I’m getting better with the tea bag. Loads of parking space. Soon be able to charge electricity being installed as I sit here.

Haven’t been here for ten years, it looks like it has recently been taken over by new management. There is a limited menu at the moment but they do have a great all day breakfast and do a carvery every night during the week except Friday.The shower are free and clean. Looks like they are having work done in the lorry park to include fuelling facilities at the moment.

Good truck stop actually have couple bays for electric truck charging good shower's staff excellent ? very helpful service.
